To support our expanding global operations, we are seeking an exceptional Compliance Manager to lead and oversee regulatory and compliance initiatives for the U.S. market.
The Compliance Manager will be a critical figure in ensuring KAI Farm adheres to all regulatory frameworks, industry standards, and internal policies across its operations in the United States. Based in our New York office, this role combines deep regulatory expertise, strategic leadership, and a commitment to upholding KAI Farm’s core values, particularly in sustainability and ethical practices.
Key Responsibilities
✲ Monitor, interpret, and implement U.S. federal, state, and local regulations affecting agricultural trade, processing, and export activities.
✲ Establish and maintain procedures to ensure KAI Farm complies with all legal requirements, including environmental, labor, and trade policies.
✲ Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, auditors, and other relevant authorities.
✲ Develop and refine internal compliance policies aligned with legal and industry standards.
✲ Lead initiatives to educate employees and partners on compliance requirements, including sustainability certifications (e.g., UTZ, Fair Trade, Rainforest Alliance).
✲ Oversee the integration of global corporate governance policies into U.S.-specific operations.
✲ Conduct regular audits to evaluate compliance performance and identify potential risks.
✲ Lead the resolution of compliance violations or incidents, ensuring appropriate corrective measures.
✲ Collaborate with legal and operational teams to manage risk effectively across the U.S. market.
✲ Promote adherence to KAI Farm’s sustainability commitments, including reducing environmental impact and supporting ethical sourcing practices.
✲ Drive initiatives that align compliance efforts with KAI Farm’s broader corporate social responsibility (CSR) objectives.
✲ Prepare detailed compliance reports for both internal leadership and external stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
✲ Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of compliance activities, regulatory submissions, and audit findings.
Candidate Profile
✲ A Master’s degree or higher in Law, Compliance Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
✲ Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in compliance management, regulatory affairs, or risk assessment, with a preference for candidates with experience in the agricultural, food, or FMCG sectors.
✲ Proven track record of developing and implementing effective compliance frameworks in complex, regulated environments.
✲ Extensive knowledge of U.S. compliance standards, particularly in trade, agriculture, and environmental laws.
✲ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.
✲ Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of representing KAI Farm with professionalism and authority.
✲ Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams across diverse cultural and professional contexts.
