As we continue to expand our operations and R&D capabilities in Singapore, we are seeking an AI Automation Engineer to play a pivotal role in developing and implementing next-generation automation systems for modern agriculture.
 

The AI Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered automation systems that integrate robotics, machine learning, IoT, and control systems to optimize agricultural workflows. This position requires a balance of technical expertise, innovation, and practical problem-solving skills. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including agronomists, software engineers, and mechanical designers, to deliver robust and scalable solutions for smart farming.
 

Key Responsibilities

✲ AI & Machine Learning Development: Design and implement machine learning models for predictive analytics, crop monitoring, and autonomous decision-making in farming operations.
✲ Automation System Integration: Integrate AI algorithms with robotics, IoT sensors, PLCs, and industrial control systems to create seamless automation workflows.
✲ System Architecture & Deployment: Architect end-to-end solutions from concept to deployment, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
✲ Data Processing & Optimization: Build pipelines for real-time data collection, processing, and analysis to improve system efficiency and accuracy.
✲ Testing & Validation: Conduct laboratory and field tests to validate automation systems under real-world agricultural conditions.
✲ Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with R&D, operations, and engineering teams to align automation solutions with business objectives.
✲ Continuous Improvement: Analyze system performance and implement enhancements to improve reliability, reduce downtime, and maximize output.

Qualifications

Required:

✲ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field.
✲ Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
✲ Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV).
✲ Solid understanding of industrial automation technologies (PLC, SCADA, HMI systems).
✲ Experience integrating IoT devices and sensors with AI-driven platforms.
✲ Proven track record in automation system design and implementation.
✲ Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred:

✲ Experience in agricultural automation, food production systems, or environmental robotics.
✲ Knowledge of computer vision applications in object detection, classification, and quality control.
✲ Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for AI deployment.
✲ Understanding of embedded systems and edge computing for real-time processing.
